The Shape of Things to Come

Urban Body Studios Opens

When it comes to looking good, you’re much more a specialist (strategic posing, preening, and stretching) than a jack of all trades (elliptical, ab lounge, repeat).

We hear you — and are, therefore, very happy to announce that Urban Body Studios officially opens next Monday.

Think of it as the mellow, karma-cleansing version of its famous counterpart (and neighbor), Urban Body Fitness. Unlike UBF, the new space focuses on Pilates and yoga — twelve styles in all as opposed to one or two — and you’ll find nary a dumbbell nor treadmill in sight.

They’ve covered all the chill-out bases, too: suspended bamboo floors (for shock and sound absorption), independent climate systems in each room, and private Pilates and massage suites for one-on-one sessions.

Something else to look forward to: getting coiffed at the in-house Bumble and Bumble hair salon and spa, which is also open to the public.

Of course, there are crossover perks for anyone with a dual membership.

But, as always, we’re happy to stick with what we know best.

Urban Body Studios, 730 Ponce De Leon Place, Midtown (404-201-7994 or urbanbodystudios.com).
