The Daily Grind

Sometimes, you want to go where everybody knows your name. And sometimes you wouldn’t mind if someone there remembered your daily coffee order, too.

And lucky you, a new spot promises both: Gathering Grounds coffee shop is now open.

Why all the hoopla, you ask? First, the cozy space is chockful of mondo chain amenities: free Wi-Fi for cafe junkies passing through to Little Five, Candler Park, and beyond; a public PC workstation; and an official Atlanta debut for cult-fave, fair-trade coffee brand insiders.

We’re also partial to the signature espresso choices like the Mellow Marsh (topped with marshmallows) and the mint chocolate Peppermint Preacher, served with a slice of pound or coffee cake from Eastlake’s Sweet Tooth Bakery.

And if a caffeine high just isn’t enough, the rotating artwork created by local talent provides a little visual stimulation.

No doubt, just the perk you’ll need.
