It’s hot. Blistering, even. There’s sweat on your brow and an empty space in your gut. You’d kill for a wet-your-whistle saloon moment right about now.
Then it happens. You stumble into No Más Cantina, which opened today. And it’s a veritable dining oasis in the land of art galleries and quick-stop cafes peppering Castleberry Hill.
You sit. You sip something from a list of more than 36 tequilas. You gorge yourself on a Mexican-inspired menu that includes tampiqueña (seasoned skirt steak), camarones alambres (jumbo shrimp on a sugarcane skewer), and sopa de tortilla.
Your senses regained, you notice something remarkable: Everything, from the wrought-iron bar stools to the hand-blown glass and Oaxacan wall art, is for sale — listed on the menu alongside the food.
Your server confirms that, yes, you do recognize this stuff from No Más Productions of Huff Road, and directs you next door to the fully stocked, spanking new decor space, No Más Hacienda.
A cowhand could really get used to a place like this, you think. Hanging out. Lounging over long meals.
Not too long, though.
Lest the staff call you a slow cowpoke.
