Give Up the Goods

Shopmodi.com

They call you The Clutch Commander. Master of shallow pockets, enemy of the carabineer (and any other tacky-ass accessory heavy enough to pull down a nice pair of pants).

Well, Sally Sleeker, we’ve got something for you: the Forked Up bottle opener, which has all the utility of a KFC spork and all the sophistication of an Alessi paperweight. And it’s a perfect example of the delightfully minimal home products you’ll find online at Shopmodi.com.

After interning with designer Libertine, founder Lee Phutrakul started the e-shop as an outlet for her love of things tasteful, functional, and (most of all) cheap.

Most products (like the brainy Good Chemistry salt and pepper shakers) are made by Propaganda, a Thai label specializing in high-design at low prices. Others (like the porcelain Vin-Eau carafe) come from the small decor outfit Mint.

The site’s inventory is constantly evolving. But no matter the source, every piece promises to pull together perfectly.

So even you can feel fine going back for more.
