The Write Stuff

Saying what you mean and meaning what you say? If only you could.

Try as you might to share your true feelings (I love you, I hate you, T-straps make your cankles look ginormous) the results are never all that pretty.

Wall writer Lisa Crossley could change all that.

A former visual arts and marketing guru for Calvin Klein, Vera Wang, and Lulu Guinness, Crossley has a new pursuit that involves a paintbrush and a cavernous mental vault of pitch-perfect lyrics and sayings. (George Carlin, Dr. Seuss, and Coco Chanel are among our current favorites.)

Invite her over to check out your walls, give her the vibe you’re after (mantra, tantra, or otherwise), and let the woman work. Crossley picks quotes that she feels suit each home and client — and isn’t afraid to speak up if she thinks that the saying you’re seeking isn’t the best fit.

Which is more than you can say for yourself.
