Bravo, Mother Hubbard. You’ve been so busy climbing the corporate ladder that your cupboard really has gone bare. True, the freshest thing in your fridge is green — just in a very, very bad way.
Sounds like it’s time to enroll in Shop and Chop, a new interactive cooking class with Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta head chef Robert Gerstenecker.
Over four hours, he’ll escort you to a nearby grocery store (we hear the first stop’s Whole Foods) for a crash course in selecting produce, meats, and prime ingredients like a pro. Then a hotel driver whisks you to the restaurant to prepare a killer meal, which you’ll eat alongside Gerstenecker, exec chef-style, in the Park 75 kitchen.
When all’s said and done, you take home what you’ve learned (doggie bag, bones, and all) to put in that pantry of yours. As a sweet bonus, $25 of the $100 class fee goes toward a Park 75 gift certificate for future use.
As for Mother Hubbard, well, she’s sure to be eating her heart out already.
Shop and Chop debuts Tuesday, September 19, 5:30-9:30 p.m., at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, 75 14th Street, Midtown. To sign up, call 404-253-3840.
