Keeping secrets has never been your strong suit. And when it comes to those that are especially juicy? Well, your middle name might as well be “Sandwich Board.”
But after The Sweet Lowdown opens late next Monday night (swing by after 10 p.m.), you won’t be alone. In fact, the whole town just may be talking about the modern-meets-Southern resto.
Co-owners Adam Gajadharsingh and Geoff Hahn (Sutra), Rodney Wedge (Fuego), and Stephen Goburne went into this one with buzz-worthy barrels blazing. Exec chef Carmen Cappello (Ritz-Carlton Downtown, Mix) whips Georgian ingredients into sexy comfort food: redfish nicoise, rosemary chicken livers, and traditional desserts topped with bourbon sauce.
Meanwhile, Movie and a Makeover’s Brian Flynn makes his dining design debut with sophisticated kitsch: cowhide banquettess and green turf walls in the cocktail lounge, trough-style sinks, and photos of young Atlantans at rooftop parties and on a Palmetto farm.
The resulting vibe is very come one, come all.
And with a little help from you, they no doubt will.
