In life, you’ve learned that there are two types of people. Those who leave you feeling empty inside, and those who do anything but.
And while Shaun Doty has wined us (Table 1280), dined us (MidCity Cuisine), and left us begging for more (we’re still getting over Mumbo Jumbo), it’s his long-awaited new bistro, Shaun’s, that puts him squarely in group number two.
Inman Park locals and name-dropping foodies will agree: The open kitchen, simple sage-and-white color scheme, and cozy candle-lit room all scream, “This place is the real deal.” Meanwhile, seasonal cottage gourmet (roast chicken with mashed potatoes, butternut squash ravioli, and French-tinged pastries by Doty himself) all chime in, “And it’s really, really good, too!”
Thus confirming suspicions that Doty has been one truly dedicated soul all along.
Which is bound to leave a good taste in your mouth.
Shaun’s, 1029 Edgewood Avenue, Inman Park (404-577-4358 or shaunsrestaurant.com).
