Audition for “Talent Show” at The Contemporary

You’re all for mixing things up. Drinks, company, and metaphors always become more amusing that way.

So you’re sure to find your niche on Talent Show, The Contemporary’s answer to the hodgepodge of reality TV searches.

Just mail evidence of your artistic talent (DVDs, audio discs, digital images) to the gallery for review and keep your fingers crossed. Those selected will be invited to perform in a real-time, real-life exhibit featuring live acts, still art, and a professional curator and judging panel.

Go prepared to see the good (resident artists alongside local pros), the bad (brace for tone-deaf singers), and the ugly (space is limited; disgruntled rejects may not be).

Don’t be shy: They’ll consider everyone from nail decorators and food artists to self-proclaimed vernacular architects.

Considering your inventive streak, a win might not be rocket surgery after all.
