Your posse’s lured you into some mischief over the years. That spiked lemonade stand last weekend at Jazz Fest? All their idea. (Sure.)
Luckily, the duo that cooked up new seafood resto C&S Seafood & Oyster Bar actually knows what it’s doing.
Jon Schwenk (Brasserie le Coze) and Rich Clark (Buckhead Life) made it a point to skip fusiony, gimmicky monkeyshines and instead fill their menu with solid French-meets-Continental offerings like Georgia-grown shellfish, veal, and roast chicken.
Brass railings, art deco digs, and a ship-sharp uniformed staff give it the ritz of a 1920s steakhouse. But the reality, like the rotating menu of raw oysters — including bluepoint, Malpeque, and Kumamoto — is decidedly playful.
In other words? Don’t go there looking for old-school boys’ club shenanigans.
Save that for another spot.
