Macerated strawberries. Wild times in the lobster jacuzzi. The night you mistakenly freeze-dried (then used) those fancy dinner napkins.
Molecular gastronomy can be fun. But you just want a steak.
And that’s exactly what you’ll get at Kevin Rathbun Steak, opening today in Inman Park.
The folks at The Johnson Studio transformed the old cotton warehouse into a modern speakeasy with exposed brick and new lighting. But in the end, it’s all about comfort (don’t miss the semiprivate patio facing the train tracks out back).
Start with Kobe beef meatballs and a martini, then slip past the open kitchen and head downstairs for some juicy reading (Rathbun stashed his personal cookbooks in the wine cellar for guests to enjoy).
Finally, get to the meat of it all: Choose from pork porterhouse, braised short ribs, and about a dozen prime cuts — even Steak Diane, courtesy of Rathbun’s mom.
Going for what you know can be very tasty business.
