Healthy frozen treats? Gross. Icky, sticky, and — sometimes — kind of like licking a penny.
Until, that is, you down a bowl of addictive homegrown yogurt at new Juicygreen. In a single sitting. With a little on your face. And shirt.
Which isn’t something to be ashamed of, since founder Eunie Kim spent months crisscrossing Korea (the nexus of Pinkberry et al) to perfect her and partner Steve Lee’s fat-free goodness.
Start with a scoopful of live-culture plain or green tea yogurt (brewed and mixed daily so antioxidants stay at primo levels), then pick from rotating toppings like shaved almonds, blueberries, and Cap’n Crunch. Sizes called cherry, lemon, and melon (rather than small, medium, and large) should alleviate any pig-out remorse.
While you’re not feeling guilty, cruise the gelato counter for fresh-mixed batches of peanut butter (made with the real stuff), pistachio (with Sicilian-sourced nuts), and mango sorbet (safe for you lactophobes out there).
Sure, you might luck out with bovine treats elsewhere. But this is udderly delicious.
