Marty M.’s McFlyness transcended the decades. Sigh. If only high-waisted denim could do the same for you this season.
Don’t turn your back on retro just yet: Collective Clothing’s new fall pieces evoke ’60s mod in a perfectly timeless manner.
Brother-sister design duo Jun and So Yon Kim trained at Parsons, which might explain their high-fashion sensibility and sophisticated cuts. They’re leaving far-out prints alone and letting geometric necklines, bishop sleeves, and texture speak for themselves to the tune of taupe metallic blouses, charcoal gray dresses that sparkle around the neck, and an ever-cool gauzy woven dress in burgundy.
Later this season, they’ll roll out elegant, tie-backed party dresses with scarf collars and ruffles.
Here’s betting you can dig it.
