Up to Speed
The Pace Club Opens

You’ve never been good at pacing yourself. You once threw back three glasses of wine during cocktail hour and passed out in your salad plate. Took on a marathon — pooped out at mile five. And don’t get you started on record times for scarfing down Easy Macs when the munchies hit.
Learn discipline at The Pace Club, a new, over-the-top gym hideaway (taking clients starting November 1) with seductive, spot-on fitness services and a knack for pinpointing your personal motivations.
First, you’ll get a physical assessment with the Bod Pod, a space-age BMI reader that’s more accurate than any pinchy calipers, creepy water tub, or guesstimating nutritionist.
During sessions, attendants (in Ralph Lauren Black Label suits) cater to your workout whims. They’re at the ready with berries, almonds, and spring water on silver platters; and if you want to be spritzed, just ask.
Owner Michael Ferguson has crafted each sumptuous detail to counter every don’t wanna, not gonna excuse in the book, like giving clients set, obligatory appointments so they actually show up to workout.
See? Slow and steady wins the race.
The Pace Club, 2285 Peachtree Road, suite 200, Buckhead (404-680-1566 or thepaceclub.com).
