Curry in a Hurry

White Elephant Thai Restaurant Opens

white elephant in the room!

Pocket rocket swaps. Anal bead switch-backs. Who knew white elephant parties could get a person into such trouble? (Besides you.)

For more savory table chat, head to White Elephant, the hip, cozy Thai restaurant just opened in downtown East Point by Wasabi alums.

Chef Supalerk Pornpongboonvit hits the traditional delights from his home country: larb, tom yum, all manner of curry, plus modern takes on chicken wings glazed with house-made sweet chili sauce.

The owners commissioned artist David Peterson to do the wall panels, tabletops, and high-gloss bar in his signature eye-dazzling colors.

And let’s talk cocktails: Sake and nectar bellinis, Sapporo sake bombs, and rare Asian brews are reason enough to sip al fresco in the quaint patio garden.

As usual, the choice is all yours.
