Scrappily Ever After
Reed LaPlant Furniture

Dearly beloved,
We gather here today to celebrate the union of two design themes in forward-thinking matrimony.
Now and forever more, the taking of materials from the past — scrap yard metals, construction site cast-offs, old doors, and hand rails — to repurpose them into lasting and beautiful objects will be known as “upcycling.”
This ceremony is officiated by tinkerer/ photographer/ furniture designer Reed LaPlant, whose first collection — American walnut dressers, Southern yellow pine bookcases, two-tier coffee tables — is sourced in this way.
Last weekend, LaPlant debuted the first of several lines designed for Verde Home’s ecoconscious showroom. His commissioned pieces (from modest bedside tables to intricate bench pew seating) will transform your own ripped-up floorboards and reclaimed materials into blessed treasures worth holding onto.
For better. As opposed to worse.
