Lookin’ out at the mornin’ rain. (Wah-ooh.) Can make yah feel, so un-in-spy-erd. And when you rifle through the closet, babe. (Wah-ooh.) Last summer’s stuff just looks so tie-erd. (Doom-doom-doom.)
Safe to assume, then, that you haven’t checked out Christine Philip’s newest hit of a collection. The young all-the-buzz boutiquist just launched her in-house organic line.
Philip’s signature fusion touches still sing backup. This time, to the tune of blended Kanchipuram silk (the rawest in the world, sourced one city over from her hometown in India), tribal-meets-floral prints, and strategically placed keyhole cutouts.
Thigh-skimming cotton tunics, bamboo day frocks, and maxi dresses are stained using vegetable dye; and minimal embellishments — shoulder ties, seeds, and repurposed amulets (as opposed to the bling she’s noted for) — are strictly nonsynthetic.
Call it a natural progression.
