Above the Belt
SuPica Jeweled Belt Buckles

When people’s obsessive collecting habits aren’t totally depressing — as with, say, a certain glass menagerie — they can really come in handy.
Consider designer Sue Pica’s snazzy belt buckles.
The Bronx-born designer splits her time between Cumming, Georgia, where she stockpiles the costume jewelry she’s been collecting for years, and the Rhode Island coast, where she nurtures a sea glass collecting habit.
She uses all her materials to create ornate buckles. Most locally available styles — psychedelic Grace, perky yellow flowered Phoebe, pearl-spattered Patrice — are mounted atop enough metal twists, turns, and crystal ornamentation.
Plus, they’re all removable and interchangeable.
Hear that, gentleman callers?
