A la Mode Dessert Bar Opens

You have got to do something about that sweet tooth.

Yeah, satisfy it.

Grab a spoon and head to A la Mode Dessert Bar, Kirkwood’s newest niche-fabulous gelato, ice cream, and baked goods shop, opening this weekend.

And take your pick: Light gelati include mint chocolate chip, tiramisu, and coconut. (Green tea and cake batter are in the works.) Go double scoop on Kahlua or strawberry cheesecake ice cream. And don’t hold back at the candy dishes brimming with toppings and mix-ins like Red Hots and maraschino cherries.

The decor runs the gamut from traditional black and white checked floor (sody pop and shakes, yo) to space-age Lucite chairs. The spot is family friendly but open late to cater to grown-up cravings.

They’ll dish it. You just have to take it.
