Get a room at Shared Kitchens, where culinary entrepreneurs and closet cooks do their thing in a fully equipped, six-station facility created by a Gainesville businesswoman.

Picture a cooking station of your very own: a gleaming ten-burner range. Huge walk-in refrigerators. Rolling racks to store dry goods. A ginormous Hobart mixer. Around here, safety is paramount: The space is licensed, and all new cooks must complete a food safety course.

Newbie food makers and bakers (it’s not certified for caterers yet) can join with a monthly fee and regular shifts, purchase a block of hours for a flat rate, or rent by the hour, quickie style.

You’ll be hot. Not bothered.
