Leon's Full Service Restaurant Opens

Pump the brakes.

Brick Store Pub partners Dave Blanchard, Mike Gallagher, and Tom Moore have romanced the Rue de Leon space into an oo-la-la filling station.

Chef Eric Ottensmeyer (Blais, Rathbun’s) has prepared a comfort food menu that’s anything but unleaded: an update on his grandma’s zucchini casserole, sea scallops, and an open-face pork sandwich will get your motor running.

In addition to a master beer selection (duh), there’s a whistle-wetting, seasonal cocktail menu. Yeah, we’ve heard about the appley Whiskey Pie and Belgian Champale. But what’s not on the menu is Carl’s Screwball — inspired by the owners’ fave back-in-the-day Carl’s candy and made with biscotti liqueur — and K. Chocolat’s by-request-only chocolate flights.

Putt around on the Ponce Avenue patio or round the corner to Church for a pickup game on the bocce court.
