Brit-pop night at MJQ has a way of tugging on your heartstrings — then leaving your “A” flat come Thursday morning.
Pump up your jam at Reactionary Records, opening tomorrow.
Owners Paul Tilghmon, Brian Colantuno, and Chuck Petrokapolous play it retro: The trio joined forces back in the day, putting on West End warehouse shows like Prank Fest, with acts like The Renegades. (Think Black Lips, pre-Black Lips.)
Shop tons of new, used, and consignment vinyl and 45s with a focus on punk rock, ’70s soul, dub reggae, and hip-hop. Current stock includes the Ramones, Generation X, and Johnny Thunders.
Things kick off with a party tonight at Star Bar, featuring Be Your Own Pet’s Turbo Fruits and Dark Meat.
And the beat goes on.
