When it comes to bread, you’ve been known to cut corners. You once went an entire summer without touching a crumb. (Nobody’s judging.)
No matter what, you’ll make an exception for Eli Kikov’s daily offerings, just in at MetroFresh. The Israeli bread maker is baking up a storm of savory soup, sandwich, and specialty loaves at the hopping lunch spot.
Check the cafe’s online menu for du jour varieties of crostini, baguette, and braided challah. Sample (or custom order) Parmesan and rosemary flatbread wheels, bone bread, and tempting $1 sticks infused with olives and sun-dried tomatoes. They’re worth the return trip to baked goods heaven.
Otherwise known as the upper crust.
Available at MetroFresh, 931 Monroe Drive, suite a106, Midtown (404-724-0151 or metrofreshatl.com).
