Digital Perm Body Wave at Unga Hair Salon

You sang the body electric. You even busted leg warmers for the second go around. But you swore you’d never again chirp the praises of a curly perm.

We’re still betting you’ll get jazzed for Unga Hair Salon’s ionic “digital” perm service.

Treatments at the Gateway Plaza salon go something like this:

1. Have wet hair set with curling rods, which get clipped to a negative ion hub.

2. Sit for one hour or so in Medusa-like limbo while rollers heat up and ionize. Cool for fifteen minutes.

3. Apply neutralizer. Wash out.

4. Fling about formerly stick-straight, chemically virgin hair in throws of permanently bodacious, bed-headed ecstasy.

It’s anything but a blast from the past.

It might even be the wave of the future.
