Paper cuts and eyelids: two phrases that should never be uttered in the same sentence.
Trust the clever Chinese to find a way to make them work. Chunwei Liao, founder of new cardboard and paper design company Paperself, has introduced an intricate range of false lashes that incorporates the traditional Chinese art of paper cutting.
The delicate patterns are easy to use and can be applied with regular eyelash glue. The effect is absolutely striking. The five designs represent different Chinese symbols: peach blossom for love, horses for success, peonies for happiness. Smaller versions are available for more subtle daytime looks or for bottom lashes.
They’re chic by a thousand cuts.
