What: Tour more than 35 of the area’s top wineries and tasting rooms, including J. Bookwalter, Kestrel Vintners, and Matthews Estate.
Why: Purchase the Shuttle Express option for transportation between wineries (drinking and driving is a major party foul).
When: Sat. & Sun., 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Next Fifty Opening Day Celebration

What: Kick off the six-month celebration of the Seattle World’s Fair’s 50th anniversary at Seattle Center.
Why: Arts, culture, community, and design — past and present — are at the center of the festivities, including a traditional Coast Salish performance and a reading from The Future Remembered by Tom Skerritt.
