For Your Flower Child

Pretty Little Things nursery accents

pretty little things!

For some people, do-it-yourself styling necessitates a needle, thread, and time. For the rest of us, all that’s required is a credit card and shipping address.

Pretty Little Things, the creative endeavor of former Pottery Barn Kids textile artist Lori Marie, makes mobiles, lanterns, and dream catchers for those who want the look of DIY without any of the finger pricking.

With just a few snips, petals emerge from yards of felt. A couple of stitches later, a nursery keepsake is born. The Fancy Flower mobile turns a bouquet of blooms upside down, so babies can gaze at daisies and roses each morning. Or suspend a crocheted lantern in the playroom. Its web of fuchsia and yellow yarn brightens the mood of even the most terrible 2-year-old.

Dolls, feather crowns, and pillows with the same whimsical feel round out the collection.

All in all, it’s sew good.

Available at shop.lorimarie.com, $7-$125.
