Oakland-based designer Kait Mooney achieves liftoff with Jeweltones, a new line of experimental accessories.

Inspired by surfaces and abstraction, Mooney relies on common materials and textures to create one-of-a-kind pieces that make a statement without being too out there.

Intergalactic wooden beads dangling from an orange rope pop off a plain white tee. Punch up a play-it-safe basic with the grayscale pendant on a pale cord. We imagine the double-barred neon pink rope design is what Claudia from The Baby-Sitters Club would wear to space camp.
