Holiday Gifts for Dudes, Guys, and Men

A melting pot of presents

the noble experiment!

Nothing says love like two tickets around the world. Channel the sentiment without breaking the bank with our lineup of internationally sourced and U.S.-inspired gifts found right here in the city. Two MetroCards to paradise, please.

New York
For geeks who love booze, book a $10 tasting/tour (Saturdays at noon, 2, and 4 p.m.) at The Noble Experiment NYC in East Williamsburg (email info@tnenyc.com). Check out equipment, learn the science, and sip the just-opened distillery’s Owney’s white rum and soon-to-launch whiskey.

Boys in The Hoodie Shop’s inaugural collab (with Brooklyn designer Alexander Campaz) is always soft. Made from deadstock organic French terry and Supima cotton, the sea green, blue, and black sweatshirt is one you’ll want to borrow back.

fjallraven!Scandinavian sporting brand Fjällräven is more than just backpacks. Score rugged yet refined pants, windbreakers, and jackets from the house’s new Numbers collection, available exclusively at the Soho pop-up shop (through February 28; Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, noon-7 p.m.). Shwood sunglasses, Gränsfors Bruks axes, and other manly accessories are also on-site.

Up Dad’s style with a striped tie from Brooklyn-based outfit The Knottery. Each is cut from indigo-dyed Japanese fabric and best kept in check with local jeweler Sky Phaebl’s trimetal tie bar.

raleigh!North Carolina
Find a piece of the South just north of Little Italy at new husband-and-wife-run denim shop Raleigh. Go for the NC natives’ organic cotton jeans or classic small-batch coated black or gray skinnies, made the old-school way with a new-school fit.

Dealing with a wonder (from) Down Under? Return the love with cheeky Mambo Surf De Luxe prints, Driza-Bone jackets, and other hard-to-find labels from the Land of Oz at B_Space, the newly opened brick-and-mortar version of Aussie-centric site Billabout.

American West
white buffalo! If you never follow the herd, things can get lonely. Give your bro some company and a mascot worthy of his boldness in the form of a furry faux white buffalo mount (dubbed Paul Frances) from LES design shop and gallery JnrlStr.

The Internet
Swag has no nationality, and though the lyric-spitting lads behind blog-turned-book F*ck Yeah Menswear are technically American, their mad satirical/sartorial game is universal.
