Seal 2012 with a Kiss

Why we love this town

pain d'avignon!

Between the deadlines and dinner parties, you’re left wondering where the year went. In case you missed it, here’s the latest and greatest from our city.

Fill ’Er Up
Pain d’Avignon’s Bread of the Month Club kicked off our all-gluten summer, which ended with a cupcake-in-a-box blowout from Cake Out. We reset with a juice cleanse from Nourish Your Soul then regulated with sustainable, home-delivered meals from The Foodery.

Good thing, too, because we simply had to splurge on the singular international designers at Vira boutique. And we couldn’t resist fashioning ourselves an LBD from Bow & Drape — which we then played up with Claudia Rowe’s ornate gypsy jewelry.

RIP, Ikea
Our shoe box of an apartment also made great strides this year, thanks to a little help from Colour Bloc’s art-consulting services and the customized home accents at Loom Decor.

Regular blowouts from Blo kept us Sartorialist ready, while Previse’s products guarded us against the sun’s lethal kiss. Primping proved rather taxing, however, so we unwound with a few reasonably priced massages.

The Gift of Giving
But 2012 wasn’t all about us. Holiday shopping was a breeze this year, thanks to the debut of Olives & Grace (who doesn’t fiend for artisan foodstuffs?) and the reopening of Good, now a one-stop shop for beautifully curated home accessories.
