Nail files by the bar can really only mean one of two things: Your date stood you up or — far preferably — it’s Martinis and Manicures night at Opal Lounge, one of the hottest new Downtown spots in Boston. They’ve teamed up with neighboring Galaxy Nails to bring the most promising after-work invention since happy hour.

Every Tuesday night from 5 to 9 p.m., slip into a plush seat, schmooze, and sip $5 martinis while having your nails buffed, trimmed and polished — for a mere $7.

Talk about killing two birds with twelve bucks.
