It’s official: We’ve reached that time in every Boston winter where no one can take it anymore. We’re wearing premature pastels under our fur parkas, fer-christ’s-sake. Just give us some spring, already.
And then comes the added treat: You get the pesky cold that’s ripping through town with the ferocity of our most relentless snowstorms.
Well, at least you can do something about the cold. Slurp up homemade, hand-delivered chicken soup, for starters. Grandma’s Chicken Soup (with or without matzo balls) is made by a bona fide grandma, who uses the recipe her mama gave her.
And while she won’t tuck you in or rub your tummy, she will have the soup delivered straight to your door — or the door of whomever you’re sending it to. Our favorite gift packages: the Shabbat Surprise — loaded with soup and fresh challah bread — and the Get Well Soon, which includes a jumbo mug, a sugar cookie, a carrot-shaped pen, a package of “Get Well Soon” pasta, and a mini copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul. It’s certain to cure what ails you.
Except the winter blues. Alas.
