7 a.m. Wake up. Seriously jazzed for big night out.

7:12 a.m. Check mirror. Cringe in horror at monstrous blemish that sprouted on face overnight. Out of nowhere.

7:16 a.m. Damage control. Apply various lotions. Try to camouflage with cover-up. All futile.

7:19 a.m. Cry.

9 a.m. Cancel meetings. Hide under desk.

9:10 a.m. Out of sheer desperation, call G Spa. Book five-minute, $10 appointment for acne treatment.

Noon. Esthetician at G Spa zaps infection, treats skin with oxygen toner to annihilate surface bacteria and low-pH mixture to kill any under skin’s surface, applies benzoyl peroxide solution.

2:30 p.m. Notable improvements. Camouflaging suddenly possible. Little sucker basically dead.

7 p.m. Your face calms down just in time for big night out. So do you.
