Cami Lot

You know that girl you want to hate but can’t help but love? She’s smart and talented yet down-to-earth and completely normal? Yeah, her.

Well, lingerie designer Juli Lee (who also happens to have two degrees from MIT) is that girl. After designing for stores like Saks and Nordstrom, Lee broke out on her own to create Julianna Rae, intimates and sleepwear that work for every body type — not just those of preternatural legs and derrieres a la Victoria’s Secret.

Lee started by creating models based on types of flowers (iris, tulip, etc.) rather than the more negative labels of “pear” or “boy-shaped.” Then she got down to designing. The result? Printed silk camisoles and tap pants perfect for lounging but still looking hot, lacy bras, and matching PJs and chemises that are romantic but casual.

So, no, you really can’t hate her. After all, she’s the one making the most personal pieces in your wardrobe more personable.
