Cape Fear
Giving Tree Gallery

List of things to do while stuck in Cape traffic:
1. Organize your parking tickets by date.
2. Finish The Unbearable Lightness of Being on CD.
3. Your nails.
4. Wonder where all the sources for truly pretty jewelry have gone.
Actually, you probably just passed some. Just a hop off the Mid-Cape Highway sits The Giving Tree, a little spot that Bostonians have been woefully ignorant of, even while driving by it at least a couple of times a summer.
And to our detriment: The shop is a jumble of tempting trinkets and baubles like Wagner & Ko necklaces sporting diamond-pavé wishbone charms and Sanskrit-scrawled cuffs by Me&Ro.
Then there are the gleaming strands of turquoise by Sarah Elizabeth, and the agate and coral crystal drop earrings from Alexis Bittar. Did we mention the sterling silver Jeanine Payer necklaces quoting Nietzsche and Chuang Tzu? They’re dazzling and deep enough to distract you from the banality of everyday life.
And maybe even the traffic.
