Shoe Savior Eddie Keshishian

No, world, Bostonians do not still dress like puritans — figuratively or otherwise. It’s been a long time since anyone around here wore an A on her chest or a big ol’ buckle on his hat.

Alas, though our sense of style may have evolved, our dear city’s environment has not. Those wind gusts in Government Center? They make miniskirts a regretful choice. And our ubiquitous cobblestones? Might as well put those Choos in a blender.

Or simply hand them over to Eddie Keshishian — secret treasure of the local shoe fiends who bring him their ruined Louboutins and Laurents, Kors and Clergeries. The Armenian master craftsman (who learned the trade from his father) rehabilitates them all, with a sharp eye (he can match almost any shade of leather, suede, brocade, or velvet) and knack for buying superior materials (his heel and soling supplies from Italy last far longer than those from other countries).

It doesn’t stop with shoes; bags and other accessories are also fair game.

But please: For the sake of the city’s reputation, keep the ancestral hats in the attic, where they belong.
