It works like this: A coconut oil-based (read: all natural) gloss is painted over your tresses, and you’re put under a dryer with a copy of Vogue. In a few articles’ time, polymers in the gloss seal damaged areas of the cuticle, which has been opened by the heat. The gloss is then washed out, leaving hair with such a silken shine that you’ll find yourself fighting everyone in the office off as they try and run their fingers through it.
