Foxy & Winston Greeting Cards

England has given us some pretty cool things.

The scone. The dart. The Beatles. The language.

Add to the list Jane Buck — the British genius behind Foxy & Winston greeting cards who now lives and runs her company in the United States. Her collection of hand-screened cards generally features solid-color backgrounds with white animal designs such as deer, birds, squirrels, and paisley-printed elephants for a fun, striking effect.

Though most of the cards work for any occasion (they’re all blank inside), Buck also does custom orders and offers certain models with a holiday spirit. We love the Flying Birds, a teal number depicting birds carrying ornaments and scarves, and the one featuring a group of mice having — what else? — a tea party.

Another concept the U.S. has put its own spin on.
