Pet Project

Vetcall

New Year’s resolution #97: Give that beloved fur ball of yours the clean bill of health he deserves.

But why must visiting the vet be so damn painful? To wit: Last time he peed in your car before picking a fight with Pepe, the iguana in the waiting room.

Which is why the house calls of one Dr. Jake Tedaldi are nothing short of a godsend. Part rock star, part crocodile hunter, and all parts all-knowing vet, Tedaldi arrives at your home in a black Hummer, clad in scrubs, old-school doctor’s bag in hand.

And before you know it, he’s got Fluffy on his examining table, keeping him ultra calm (feline owners call him the “cat whisperer”) and asking you about your mouser. The doc gives shots, draws blood for tests, doles out behavioral advice — does everything but surgery, which he performs at a local animal hospital.

Tedaldi began doing house calls after deciding that clinics were too chaotic and nerve-racking for animals. Now he travels all over the Boston area — reducing not only Kitty’s stress, but yours, too.

And conveniently, stress reduction was New Year’s resolution #98.
