By now you know that different brands of cosmetics subscribe to distinct schools of aesthetics.

So much so that you can practically I.D. the latest liners on that girl across The Public Garden. (Her lips just scream Viva Glam III.)

You won’t have such an easy time putting your finger on the selection at Coco Cosmetics, the hidden gem on Harvard Avenue where the shelves are stocked with tons of high-quality Korean products (many unlabeled) — ultra-translucent powders, heavy-duty mascaras, and green tea pore strips.

A small handful of other international brands (Sisley, La Prairie, and Chanel) are thrown in for good measure. But the spotlight is on the unusual shades from Asia — like super-light eye shadows delicate enough to transform you into an exquisite flower.
