Spa Check
Alexander’s Spa and Salon

A spa is the last place that should make you feel like a number, right?
Not these days. Not when bustling (read: frenetic) urban day spas (read: factories) too often treat you like a fast-food customer. As in, one billion served. Today.
Not so at Alexander’s Spa and Salon. The little-known, adorably sized (read: located in a quaint Victorian home) oasis may be a bit off the main drag, in Wenham, but what it lacks in proximity it so makes up for with highly personalized service.
Maybe that’s because the operation is a labor of love for owner Maria Lekkakos, a former Miss Massachusetts USA (who, no, won’t lecture you about world peace). Lekkakos and her team will soothe you with a massage, cleanse you with a meticulous facial, and polish you with a mani/pedi in her sunny nail room.
When you make your exit, don’t be surprised if you feel like a number all over again.
Only this time, it’s numero uno.
Alexander’s Spa and Salon, 154 Main Street, Wenham (978-468-9540).
