Admit it. You totally made magazine collages when you were a kid. At least, that is, until your big sister ripped on you in front of her friends. Then down it all came.
But what if sis had actually dug your arts and crafts? RISD grad Nancy Vayo’s did. Now she and sibling B Morgan sift through recycled magazines together, cutting out strips then laminating and twisting them into a line of brazen but beautiful hoopy jewelry called BTHENV (be the envy).
Picture boldly colored compositions hanging around your neck or fanned out like fingers from your lobes. The lightweight creations are simple enough to spiff up jeans and glam enough to stand up to your favorite gauzy party dress. Toss on a pair of the double-wide printed earrings and prepare to be admired for their quirky, glossy brilliance.
And looking that good may just be the best revenge.
Then again, hearing your big sis beg to borrow those earrings is a close second.
