Hidden treasures can be hard to come by. Especially in the burbs. (And, no, a commercial strip with both an Applebee’s and a Bennigan’s does not actually count.)
Which is why we were delighted to stumble upon The Blue Peacock in South Hamilton, the new home store from SLC Interiors owner (and arbiter of remarkably excellent taste) Susanne Csongor.
Items in the shop, located above her design offices, are carefully culled by Csongor from all over the world. Goodies include chic ocean-inspired art and accessories (hand-embroidered linen pillows and sterling silver seashells, for starters), acacia bowls from Ecuador, lots of handmade tin serving pieces, upholstered furniture, design books, and super-cute kid stuff.
No shortage of treasures, in other words. Which reminds us to keep searching for those diamonds in the rough, because they do exist.
You just have to know where to look.
