Kicked the ciggies to the curb. Bailed on the boxes of bonbons. Even (sigh) minimized the gossip rag intake to twice a month. Bravo. Bad habits are hard to break.
But shopping? Now that’s one you’ve just gotta indulge — and that much more happily now that Louis Boston alums Pam Santorelli and Leila Moore have opened the doors to Habit, their very first boutique.
With the new shop, Santorelli and Moore (who also co-own a personal styling business) have transformed their own fashion fanaticism from a painfully expensive routine into a profitable venture. The Southie oasis carries men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, as well as a smattering of home goods.
The young visionaries have filled the floor with obscure designers with an urban feel: funky jersey dresses from Bread and Butter; super-soft neutral T-shirts from LA Made; wide-leg, cuffed denim trousers by Level 99; and silk halter dresses from Julie Haus. And prices start as low as $20.
Unique finds for a steal?
Now that’s a habit to get into. Fast.
