Houston, we have a problem. It’s called bird envy. And it’s serious.
When we’re not whizzing through the sky in giant metal tubes, we’re jumping out of them with nothing but a bit of fabric on our backs to get us safely to terra firma. And that’s just for fun.
Time to get back on (or at least near) the ground with indoor skydiving.
At SkyVenture New Hampshire, anyone can take the leap. First, you get a crash course in skydiving basics. Then you gear up: colored jumpsuit, earplugs, and goggles. From there, you enter a vertical wind tunnel where you joyfully soar to your heart’s content above a trampoline floor.
Wind speeds are adjusted for you, and an instructor stays by your side showing off tricks like spinning, somersaults, and flying upside down.
No plummeting toward the earth, no nippy temps, no turbulence.
Jumping out of airplanes?
Now that’s for the birds.
