In the Bag

Imperio Bags

You’ve got a couple of mad skills. Mixing the perfect margarita is one. And you’re totally punctual when it comes to sending birthday gifts.

Ever thought of combining the two? You’d have one mighty fine margarita delivery service (and we’d be the first in line).

New York-based designer Jessica Packer put two and two together and came up with Imperio handbags. The former finance geek aligned her international savvy with her creativity and now develops totes and other trinkets using materials and designs indigenous to Southeast Asia, North Africa, and Latin America.

Her handbags are fashioned from Argentine leather and suede and come in metallic hues. The straps, which come in two lengths, are interchangeable, so if your gold leather version needs more bling, you can clasp on a shiny silver strap. And each one has a detachable zip purse that doubles as a clutch.

You might say they’re the perfect combination.

Available at Good, 88 Charles Street, Beacon Hill (617-722-9200 or shopatgood.com).
