C Is for Cookie

Summerhouse Baking

Cookie Monster was onto something. There’s nothing better than the soft, gooey, melt-in-your-mouth delectableness of a fresh-baked cookie.

But for those of us out of touch with our domestic side, “fresh baked” translates into burnt, misshapen, “oops-did-we-forget-the-vanilla?” oddities.

Which is why we put our sweet tooth in the capable hands of Summerhouse Baking, where pastry chef Lauren Ferrone whips up mouthwatering cookies to order and delivers them to your doorstep in virtually no time. We’re talking same-day service (if you call before 7 a.m.) in the Boston area.

The decadent creations come in six flavors, including oatmeal coconut cranberry, brown sugar chocolate chunk, and dark chocolate hazelnut. Order enough, and Ferrone will craft a custom concoction.

She uses primarily all-natural and organic ingredients from local New England farms and ships her treats in biodegradable, recycled packaging. So though the cookies themselves may not be guilt free, you can still feel good about indulging.

Not that Cookie ever had a problem.
