Kitchen Smackdown

Ladies and gentlemeeeen. Let’s get ready to rumble!

In this corner: It’s our current reigning champion: Dinner Time.

And over here, a perennial underdog who has never been able to topple our winner: It’s the Under-Skilled Home Cook.

But we hear USHC has bulked up her repertoire with training from Ruth-Anne Adams, a legendary local chef known for putting on the moves at Casablanca and occasionally stepping in with pastry assistance at Rocca. Adams just started a new training program called Let’s Eat, which provides hands-on, in-home cooking classes.

It appears USHC picked up some basic knife skills at an Interactive Dinner with friends. Then, Adams gave her the Fairy Godmother treatment, helping plan a multicourse gourmet meal for up to twelve people. The clincher? A Down and Dirty class, where Adams came in for a one-on-one and helped USHC perfect one specialty item. Seems she’s now a pro at the dough punches.

This ain’t your everyday fight, folks. Looks like Dinner Time is finally down for the count.
