Great Finnish
Samu-Jussi Koski at Marimekko

Cool evenings and wetter skies finding you in dreadful denial? You know better than to fight the elements. The Scandinavians are no strangers to weather woes, so do as they do: Wear nature on your sleeve.
Start with Finnish textile and design house Marimekko, purveyors of sumptuous, minimal, mod-inspired autumn clothing.
We love the striking designs by Samu-Jussi Koski, a master of feminine silhouettes and highly influenced by Balenciaga. He artfully combines a playful raindrop print from Maija Louekari with drapey wool and silk for his Pisaroi collection. Walk about downtown in the Leah divided skirt or make an entrance with the cinched-waist, dramatic-sleeve Omra dress.
The distinctive styles don’t need much more than tights, shoes, and a coat to shine.
It may be enough to get you singing in the rain.
Available at Marimekko, 350 Huron Avenue, Cambridge (617-354-2800). To see styles, go to marimekko.fi.
