Turn It on Its Head
Salmagundi Opens

Your small obsession with punky accessories has turned into a full-blown addiction. Step. away. from the skull necklace.
Instead, channel your energies to a more compelling look and head (har har) to funky new hat shop Salmagundi in Jamaica Plain.
Peruse the collection of fedoras and cloches put together by owners Andria Rapagnola and Jessen Fitzpatrick. Many of the pieces (for guys and gals) come from designers like Grace Hats NY and Scala, but the couple also designs their own. One of their more popular (not surprisingly) is a plaid baseball cap with the Red Sox “B.”
They also carry jewelry, belts, bags, and other finishing touches, but most are in limited supply — only two to eight on offer. It keeps the stock fresh and gives you even more accessorizing options.
Just try to keep your head on straight.
Salmagundi, 765 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain (617-522-5047).
